Terms of Use
Effective date: April 20, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Avego Service. By creating an account, browsing the Service, posting content, creating events, joining events, or otherwise using Avego, you agree to these Terms.
Acceptance of the terms
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update the Terms from time to time, and the latest version will apply once posted or once we otherwise notify you, as permitted by law.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Event Rules, Cancellation Policy, and any feature-specific terms that we may publish from time to time. If those documents conflict, the feature-specific rules will apply for that feature to the extent legally permitted.
The Avego service
Avego is a platform that helps people discover, create, and join events so they can socialise with like- minded people. We provide the platform, tools, and rules. We do not automatically become the organiser of every event.
Unless we clearly state otherwise in writing, Avego does not own, host, operate, supervise, or guarantee any event created by a user or third party. Hosts and attendees are responsible for their own conduct and for complying with the law. Avego does not independently verify every user, attendee, or host, and we do not guarantee that every profile, listing, or verification result is complete, accurate, or free from misuse.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including event categories, search tools, messaging, recommendations, verification features, moderation tools, or payment tools.
Eligibility and account registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Avego.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating or updating your account.
- We may ask you to complete face verification and provide a social media profile link or handle, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, or Facebook, if needed to verify authenticity or unlock certain features.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must keep your password and login details confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
- You may not create an account for someone else without permission or impersonate another person, organisation, or event.
- We may require verification or additional information if we believe an account is fake, risky, abusive, or linked to unlawful conduct.
3A. Age confirmation, misrepresentation, and verification limits
- You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and that all age, identity, and profile information you submit is accurate, current, and complete.
- You must not misrepresent your age, identity, or location, and you must not create or use an account on behalf of a person under 18.
- If we suspect that you are under 18 or that your information is false or incomplete, we may request additional verification, restrict features, suspend the account, or delete the account and related data, subject to law.
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Avego is not liable for losses, claims, or consequences arising from a user’s false age declaration, identity misrepresentation, or concealment of material facts.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Avego from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of such misrepresentation or misuse of the Service.
- Any verification measure we use, including face verification or social profile checks, improves trust but does not guarantee age, identity, conduct, or safety.
User content and community standards
You keep ownership of the content you create, post, upload, or share on Avego, but you give us a non- exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify for formatting, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content only to operate, promote, and improve the Service, and to comply with law.
You are solely responsible for the content you post and for making sure that you have the rights needed to post it.
If you choose to share personal information in a profile, event, or event chat, you do so voluntarily and understand it may be visible to hosts, participants, or others who have access to that space.
You agree not to post, organise, promote, transmit, or encourage any content or activity that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or unsafe, including:
- Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, stalking, or discrimination.
- Sexually explicit content, nudity intended for sexual stimulation, or exploitative content.
- Violence, glorification of violence, self-harm, suicide encouragement, or dangerous stunts.
- Illegal drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, fraud, phishing, spam, or money laundering.
- False information, impersonation, manipulation of reviews, or misleading event descriptions.
- Invasion of privacy, doxxing, non-consensual recording, or sharing of someone else’s personal data without permission.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity rights, or other intellectual property rights.
- Any event or gathering that requires unlawful acts, unsafe conduct, or the violation of venue rules.
We may remove or restrict any content, event, or account that violates these Terms or our rules, or that we reasonably believe creates risk to users, the public, or Avego.
Event creation and attendance rules
If you create an event, you are the host. As a host, you must make the event description honest, clear, and complete. The title, time, venue, fee, age restriction, accessibility details, dress code, capacity, and house rules should be accurate.
- You must have the right to use the venue, images, branding, and any third-party material included in the event listing.
- You must follow local laws, venue rules, safety rules, and any permit or booking requirements.
- You must not create fake events, bait-and-switch listings, or events that are designed to mislead users.
- You must make reasonable efforts to manage attendance safely and fairly.
- If you change or cancel an event, you should update participants promptly.
- Each event may include a group chat or event space. By joining, you agree that the host may moderate the chat, remove participants from the chat or event, and set reasonable interaction rules, subject to applicable law and Avego’s platform policies. Avego may also remove or limit access where needed for safety, legality, or enforcement.
- If you join an event, you agree to follow the host’s reasonable rules, arrive on time, behave respectfully, and understand that attendance is at your own risk unless a law or an express written policy says otherwise.
- Avego may set additional rules for certain event types, such as age-gated events, paid events, limited-capacity events, private events, or verified-host events.
Safety and trust flow
Safety, trust, and in-person meetings
A key feature of Avego is that users may meet in person. You understand that meeting new people always involves personal judgment and some risk. You are responsible for deciding whether to attend an event, meet a host, or interact with another user.
Avego is a platform provider, not a venue operator, chaperone, or guarantor of any user's conduct. We do not supervise every event, verify every attendee in real time, or guarantee that any user is who they claim to be.
- Do not share sensitive personal information too early or with people you do not trust.
- Meet in public places when appropriate and follow normal personal safety precautions.
- Do not pressure, harass, or threaten other users before, during, or after an event.
- Do not bring unlawful items to events and do not attend while impaired if that creates risk.
- Report suspicious, abusive, or unsafe conduct immediately.
- Use event group chats respectfully. Messages in those chats may be seen by the host and other participants in that event.
- Hosts may remove users from their own event or event chat at their discretion, where permitted by law and our platform policies.
- Avego may offer reporting tools, verification badges, moderation, safety tips, block and mute features, community review tools, or other trust features. These tools are helpful, but they do not eliminate all risk.
- We may also remove users or events that appear to create safety concerns, and we may suspend or restrict accounts to protect users, event hosts, the Service, or the public.
You understand that participation in offline meetups, event chats, and user-to-user interactions is at your own risk, and that Avego is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or statements of other users, hosts, or attendees, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Payments, fees, refunds, and cancellations
If Avego introduces paid features, ticketing, subscription plans, service fees, deposits, or other charges, the relevant pricing and payment terms will be shown before you pay.
- You agree to pay all applicable fees, taxes, and charges when due.
- Payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment provider, and their terms may apply as well.
- Refunds, if any, will follow the specific refund policy shown for that feature or event.
- Hosts are responsible for clearly stating cancellation terms for their events, including any no-show policy.
- We may retain transaction records, invoices, and related logs for accounting, tax, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- If a payment error, chargeback, suspected fraud, or unlawful transaction occurs, we may hold funds, suspend accounts, request verification, or reverse access to features, to the extent permitted by law and the payment partner’s rules.
Intellectual property
Avego and its licensors own the Service, including the software, branding, logos, interface design, and underlying technology, except for user content and third-party materials used with permission.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, harvest, or exploit any part of the Service except as allowed by law or by our written permission.
Any suggestions, ideas, or feedback you submit may be used by Avego without payment or obligation to you, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Third-party services and links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, maps, payment pages, social media pages, messaging tools, analytics tools, or other services. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, practices, availability, or terms.
Use third-party services at your own risk and review their terms and privacy policies separately.
Suspension, termination, and removal of content
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to Avego, and may remove content or cancel events, if we believe you have violated these Terms, violated the law, created risk, or harmed the platform, other users, or the public.
We may also act if your account is inactive for a long time, if we are required to do so by law, if a payment provider requires action, or if the Service is changing or ending.
Where appropriate, we may notify you and allow you to appeal or clarify the issue, but we are not required to do so in every case, especially where urgent safety action is needed.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that the Service will always be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available in every location.
We do not guarantee that every user, host, listing, recommendation, profile, verification result, or event is accurate, safe, or suitable for you. Verification features, moderation tools, and reporting tools reduce risk, but they do not eliminate it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avego will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, reputation, or business opportunities.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-excludable rights you may have under applicable law. If a court finds a liability cap unenforceable, the cap will be adjusted only to the minimum extent required by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Avego, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, your event, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer protection and statutory rights, any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith discussions and the grievance process.
If the dispute is not resolved informally, the parties may agree to arbitration in [CITY], India, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, or, if arbitration is not used, the courts at [CITY], India shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory law.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any rights that cannot legally be waived.
