Child Safety

Avego is a social event platform intended only for adults. Because users create events, join group chats, and meet in person, we apply a strict adult-only approach and do not knowingly allow child users on the Service.

Age policy

  • Avego is strictly for users aged 18 years and above.
  • Children and minors are not allowed to create accounts, join events, or use the Service.
  • If we believe a user may be under 18, we may request verification or suspend the account while we review the matter.
  • If we confirm that an account belongs to a minor, we may remove the account and handle the data according to our legal obligations and safety procedures.

Child safety principles

  • We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal data from children.
  • We do not allow child-targeted features, child-directed events, or content intended to facilitate contact with children.
  • We do not permit grooming, sexual exploitation, solicitation, abuse, bullying, or any attempt to endanger minors through the Service.
  • We use moderation, reporting tools, trust checks, and account review processes to help reduce fake accounts and unsafe behaviour.

User behaviour rules

  • Do not use Avego to contact, target, recruit, or exploit minors.
  • Do not post, share, or request sexual, violent, manipulative, or illegal content involving minors.
  • Do not misrepresent your age or identity to gain access to the Service.
  • Do not invite minors to private chats, off-platform contact, or events through Avego.

Reporting and response

  • Users can report suspected child-safety concerns, underage use, grooming, or harmful content to hi@avego.io.
  • We may remove content, suspend accounts, and preserve evidence where necessary to investigate safety concerns.
  • Where required, we may escalate serious safety issues to law enforcement or other competent authorities.

Data handling for underage accounts

  • If we learn that a child has used Avego, we will take reasonable steps to suspend the account and remove or anonymise associated data as soon as practicable, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • If safety or legal review requires limited retention, we will keep only what is necessary for that purpose and for the shortest reasonable period.
